The city, especially the borough of Manhattan, is known for its many entertainment options. In fact one of the prime attractions in New York City is its theater district which is simply known as \u2018Broadway\u2019. This theater district is located in Midtown Manhattan and it extends from 42nd street to 53rd street from 6th Avenue all the way to 9th Avenue.<\/p>\n

The Broadway theater district is home to 39 professional theaters which stage all sorts of productions and can accommodate up to 500 people. Such is the appeal of Broadway that many big Hollywood names try to get stints on the New York Stage in an effort to enhance their reputations and resumes. Tickets for Broadway shows are generally priced around $100 and they can be purchased from various different sources. Apart from the main Broadway shows New York City is also home to Off-Broadway(http:\/\/www.offbroadway.com\/<\/a>), which is an umbrella term that used to describe theater and musical performances which are held at smaller theaters that lie outside the traditional Broadway district.<\/p>\n

For the culturally minded, New York offers a wealth of entertainment options in the form of its magnificent museums many of which are located along the city\u2019s famous Museum Mile which stretches from 82nd Street to 104th Street along Fifth Avenue in Manhattan. Museums located here include the magnificent Metropolitan Museum of Art, (http:\/\/www.metmuseum.org\/<\/a>), the Solomon R. Apart from these theaters and performing art centers, New York City\u2019s entertainment landscape features numerous cinemas, bars, clubs and restaurants which are located in all its five boroughs which offer additional avenues of entertainment in this city that never sleeps.
