Worship Guide Hong Kong<\/h2>\n

Hong Kong is home to a number of religious groups, all of which have a considerable number of followers and places of worship. Most of these also have established schools, organize social activities and provide social welfare facilities.<\/p>\n

People in Hong Kong are free to practice any religion of their choosing and religious freedom is considered a fundamental right. Dominant religions include Buddhism and Taoism, Confucianism. Islamic, Hindu, Sikh and Jewish faiths are also well established. The Christian community is estimated at half a million, including Roman Catholics and Christian Protestants of many denominations. There are many Catholic and Protestant churches and places of worship throughout the territory, and religious services are listed every Saturday in the South China Morning Post newspaper.<\/p>\n

Buddhism and Taoism<\/h3>\n
