Christian Churches<\/h3>\n

Owing to the large German community in Cape Town<\/a>, there are numerous German churches in prominent parts of the city, including both Lutheran and Roman Catholic denominations.<\/p>\n

This most beautiful of the inner city\u2019s cathedrals was also once a great centre for Anti-Apartheid struggle. Here students gathered to denounce the National Party\u2019s regime, and to hear speakers from every extreme of the political spectrum, among them Archbishop Desmond Tutu. The building\u2019s looming gothic vaults and stained glass windows continue attract local worshipers and tourists alike.<\/p>\n

Jewish Synagogues and Worship Centres<\/h3>\n

Cape Town has an estimated Jewish population of around 16000. Herzlia pre-primary, primary and high schools, located in Highlands Estate, offer Judaism-centric education and are considered to be some of the best schools in the city.<\/p>\n

Hindu Temples<\/h3>\n

There are only around 6000 Hindus in the Cape Town (which tallies at about 0.2 per cent of the population) and they\u2019re not particularly concentrated in any one area.
