Beijing Worship Guide<\/h2>\n

Due to government regulations, certain worship venues are only open to foreign passport holders. Chinese nationals are not allowed to participate in worship services held by foreign entities, therefore, passports\/foreign IDs are checked at the door as part of these government regulations.<\/p>\n

Interdenominational<\/h3>\n

\nThe largest interdenominational congregation in Beijing<\/a>, this church offers regular services in English, Mandarin, and six other languages. Ministry teams and youth groups make this massive church feel like a family. Services are held in several locations throughout the city. The main service is held at the 21st Century Theater. \nInterdenominational congregation with traditionally structured worship. Meets Sunday mornings at 10 am at the Capital Club Athletic Center. Choir practice is at 9 am, and following services there is a fellowship gathering and coffee hour. In accordance with PRC law, only foreign passport holders are allowed to attend services and meetings.<\/p>\n

Catholic<\/h3>\n

The Church of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin<\/strong>

\nCommonly known as South Church (Nantang Church), this government-run Catholic church is home to Beijing\u2019s bishop. Sunday Masses are 6 a.m. (Latin), 7 and 8 a.m. (Chinese), and 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. (English). Call to confirm service times.<\/p>\n

Jewish<\/h3>\n

\nThis Jewish community extends an open invitation to anyone wanting to participate in a night of Jewish prayer and meals. Services are Reconstructionist, but Jews of any persuasion are welcome. There’s also a Hebrew school for those looking to foster the little one’s connection to their Jewish faith.<\/p>\n
